To the members of CNYSNLA,

Please see the following sad news, shared with us by Jim Sollecito (Sollecito Landscaping Nursery).  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Bianco family at this sad time of loss.

Attached are two pictures that were taken at the Pig Roast at Highland Forest in July 2005, when Bucky was presented with the CNYSNLA Hall of Fame Award.

Thank you,

Linda Bennett, Executive Secretary
CNYSNLA Region 4

CNYSNLA Hall of Fame landscape contractor and nursery owner Anthony “Bucky“ Bianco died Monday at his home in Florida. He was a world class fly fisherman, an early pioneer in tarpon fishing with light tackle. He fished with all of the legends, enjoyed many adventures in Central America and the Caribbean . He won the prestigious MET Fly Fishing Tournament in Miami in the late 1980’s.He leaves behind his wife Jolene, 2 sons, and 7 grandchildren. There will be a service this fall at his former home in Utica, and his ashes will be spread at his favorite spot in the world to fish, the back country of the Florida Keys.

If you met Bucky, then you immediately liked Bucky. Even as his health failed, his boyish smile and upbeat personality made it a joy to be in the same room, or planting fields with him.

If you wish to send a card or message of condolence:  Jolene Bianco, 1657 Watson Blvd., Big Pine Key, FL 33043
