Good morning! Short and super-sweet this week. The Western NYS Nursery & Landscape Ed Day last week was great as always and we Easterners all made it home through the snow storm. Today is Central New York’s; I’m not going but will report anything of interest I hear. I might even hear it from YOU. Send me your news!

We are gearing up for the March-April Upstate Gardeners’ Journal, biggest issue of the year. Just hit reply if you’d like a rate sheet. Or get one here.
- It’s always interesting to see what people are attracted to at the trade shows. Here’s Susan Harris of Garden Rant’s take on MANTS. Everyone but everyone seems crazy about the HerShovel. Anyone selling these locally?
- While we’re on the topic of Ed Days (well, we were, a minute ago), did you know that almost any class you take at the Rochester Civic Garden Center can earn you CNLP credits? True! Also, local favorite Pietro Furgiuele (left) will be speaking at their March 9th symposium, along with landscape architect W. Gary Smith. This event qualifies for 3.75 CNLP credits.
- From Today’s Garden Center: Map shows drastic spread in downy mildew From 2011 To 2012. One of my more clever pals pointed out that the states where it hasn’t spread are also have the largest population of gun owners. Coincidence? I think not.
