CNLP Update

Don’t miss a great opportunity for fun, networking and
professional education at CNLP Day 2014: Cliffs, Credits & Craft Brews!

You don’t have to be a Certified Nursery Landscape Professional (CNLP) or candidate to join us on September 18 at Mohonk Mountain House and the Guilded Otter for CNLP Day 2014. If you are a CNLP, the day is a perfect opportunity to connect with colleagues from around the state, learn, have fun, and earn up to five CNLP credits toward your recertification! Either way, you’ll want to be there for this rare opportunity for a free private tourof these incredible gardens that have been attracting horticulturalists from around the world for over 75 years.

The sweeping lawns and open vistas of Mohonk Mountain House are surrounded by spectacular rocky cliffs and dotted with stately trees. The formal gardens are embellished with pergolas, arbors, benches and summerhouses, and the grounds include greenhouses, a children’s garden and a Victorian maze consisting of 266 arborvitae and surrounded by a folk-art cedar fencing.

Our private tour at Mohonk Mountain House is made possible by their generous staff. Since entry to Mountain House is controlled and parking will be extremely limited, we will be meeting at the Guilded Otter Brew Pub at 3 Main Street in New Paltz prior to tour and carpooling.  Please plan to arrive at the Guilded Otter by 2:15 pm for a 2:30 departure for Mohonk. Following our private tour, we’ll return to the Guilded Otter for a brief “debrief” topped off with snacks and social time at this esteemed local establishment. Those so inclined might decide to sample the local fare. A few of us might even stay for dinner!
