- Scotts…is…everywhere. The Columbus Dispatch reports: Scotts Miracle-Gro’s new subsidiary Hawthorne focuses on urban, indoor gardening. In closely related news, Monsanto has hired a marketer specifically charged with winning over millennials (from NPR).
- This is a great story, quite long and worth the time. Why would someone steal the world’s rarest water lily? To sell it, obviously. This reminds me again of “The Signature of All Things,” which I have mixed feelings about, though the world of horticulture seems to have embraced it enthusiastically.
