Happy Friday! Not too much to report this week. I did a lot of driving around and looking at plants.
- I went on a five-mile-long sweltering humid hike during which my car got rained in, but it was worth it for this sight:
- The day before that, I visited Linwood Gardens where my daughter was working on a photo shoot. It is almost Tree Peony Festival time — if you have a chance to go, take it!
- And the day after, between Skaneateles and Syracuse, this odd arrangement of dandelions:
- I visited Ithaca. Early Bird Farm has a brand-new facility just down the road from their old one, and it looks great!
- Murray Brothers in Orchard Park is looking for landscape laborers. Bring your resumé. Corner 20A & Transit Road; ask for J. Shafer.
- Study shows looking at plants can lead to quick increases in creativity.
- I will end with this strawberry growth time lapse. I actually find this really distracting and irritating, but it’s kind of cool so I am just hiding it way down here at the bottom.
